About the Course
M.Sc. (Botany) is a full-time 2-year program that aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts of Botany.
Botany, plant science, or plant biology, is a branch that involves the scientific study of plant life. Botany covers many scientific disciplines that study plants, algae, and fungi, including structure, growth, reproduction, metabolism, development, diseases, chemical properties, and evolutionary relationship among taxonomic groups. The course covers all the related topics of the study fields. The course syllabus is designed not only to impart the theoretical but practical too. The duration of the course is two years, and the syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters.
Eligibility:
The candidate should have completed B. Sc. in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
