IIC Activities 2025-26

The Institution’s Innovation Council of IIMT Aligarh organized a half-day workshop on “Raising Fund Capital and Managing Finance for Start-Ups” on 18 March 2026. The session featured keynote speaker Aman Agarwal and guest speaker Arjun Gupta, who shared insights on start-up funding, financial planning, and cash flow management. Participants learned about funding sources such as bootstrapping, angel investment, venture capital, and bank financing. The speakers were felicitated by Prof. Shambhu K. N. Singh Rawat and Indu Singh, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.

The Department of Management & Commerce at IIMT Aligarh celebrated International Women’s Day on 12 March 2026 through a PowerPoint presentation activity themed “Inspirational Women of Our Country.” Students enthusiastically presented the life stories, struggles, and achievements of notable women from fields such as education, politics, sports, science, and social service. Over 50 students participated, making the session engaging and informative. The event concluded with an address by Indu Singh, who appreciated students’ efforts and emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, inspiring students to adopt values of dedication, confidence, and perseverance in their lives.

Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas themed Post Budget Webinar 2026–27 was organized on 9 March 2026 at IIMT College Aligarh. The session was streamed live in the seminar hall and began with an address by Narendra Modi, who highlighted the vision of inclusive growth, employment generation, digital transformation, and youth empowerment in the Union Budget 2026–27. More than 10 faculty members and around 60 students attended the webinar. The program provided valuable insights into key budget announcements and their impact on sectors such as education, infrastructure, and industry, followed by an engaging discussion among participants.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

A workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovative Design” was organized on 27 February 2026 by the Department of Management & Commerce at IIMT College Aligarh. The session was delivered by Mr. Aseem Agrawal, who explained design thinking as a user-centric approach to problem solving involving idea generation, prototyping, and testing. He also emphasized the importance of critical thinking and innovation in decision-making and professional growth. Over 80 students participated enthusiastically and engaged in discussions. The workshop concluded with an interactive session led by Indu Singh, encouraging students to apply creative and analytical thinking in their academic and professional pursuits.

The Institution’s Innovation Council of IIMT College Aligarh organized a workshop on “Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Entrepreneurs & Start-ups” on 9 February 2026. The session was conducted by R. S. Raghav, who shared practical insights on customer understanding, market research, branding, and digital marketing strategies. He emphasized the importance of identifying target audiences, creating strong value propositions, and maintaining effective customer relationships for business growth. Around 70 students actively participated in the interactive session. The program began with a welcome by Ms. Karishma Gupta and concluded with a vote of thanks, making the workshop informative and inspiring for aspiring entrepreneurs.

On the occasion of National Youth Day, a special lecture and essay writing competition were organized on 12 January 2026 at IIMT Aligarh to commemorate Swami Vivekananda. The keynote lecture titled “Ignite the Youth Within” was delivered by Ms. Karishma Gupta, who emphasized youth empowerment, self-confidence, and leadership qualities. Students were encouraged to adopt discipline, perseverance, and positive thinking. An essay competition on “Man-Making Education: Vivekananda’s Vision for Youth” was also held. The event inspired students to reflect on value-based education and the role of youth in nation-building.

The Institution’s Innovation Day was celebrated on 15 October 2025 at IIMT Aligarh by the Institution’s Innovation Council to honor A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. An Innovation Exhibition was organized to encourage students to present creative ideas addressing real-world problems. The event began with an insightful session by Mr. Aseem Agarwal on the importance of innovation, followed by an inspiring address from Dr. Indu Singh encouraging student participation in innovation initiatives. Eight student groups from MBA, BBA, and B.Com programs showcased their projects. Coordinated by Ms. Karishma Gupta, the event successfully promoted creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.

On 22 October 2025, the Institution’s Innovation Council and R&D Cell of IIMT Aligarh organized an MIC-driven orientation on the IIC 8.0 Calendar & R&D Cell Activities for AY 2025–26. The national live session featured an address by T. G. Sitharam, who highlighted the importance of strengthening innovation and research ecosystems in higher education. The session explained the IIC 8.0 activity calendar, point system, KPIs, and guidelines for institutional innovation initiatives. Around 20 faculty members and 150 students participated enthusiastically. The orientation enhanced awareness about innovation programs and motivated participants to actively engage in research, start-up development, and entrepreneurship activities.

The National Entrepreneurs Day celebration was organized on 18 November 2025 by the Faculty of Management & Commerce at IIMT Aligarh. The program aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among MBA, BBA, and B.Com students. The event began with an informative PPT session on entrepreneurship delivered by Ms. Karishma Gupta, highlighting the importance, characteristics, and process of starting a venture. This was followed by an engaging “Pitch Your Idea” activity where students presented innovative business ideas. Faculty members evaluated the ideas and provided feedback. The event enhanced students’ creativity, communication, and confidence while motivating them to explore future entrepreneurial opportunities.

The IIC Regional Meet 2025 held on 25 November 2025 at the GL Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management brought together institutions to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. Representing IIMT Aligarh, Mr. Aseem Agrawal and Mr. Vinod Goswami from the Faculty of Management & Commerce participated actively. The institute presented a poster highlighting its innovation ecosystem, student-driven initiatives, and start-up support activities under the IIC framework. The faculty also attended an online address by All India Council for Technical Education Chairman, focusing on strengthening institutional innovation ecosystems and national collaboration. The event facilitated networking, knowledge exchange, and opportunities for future academic and entrepreneurial partnerships.
