Report  on Science Wall Painting Competition 

  1. Introduction 

A “Science Wall Painting Competition” which is held on 15 October 2025 at IIMT premises, is a creative and educational initiative that blend art with scientific knowledge. It provides students with a unique platform to express complex scientific ideas through visually engaging artwork, making learning both interactive and enjoyable

  1. Objectives
  • To promote interest in science among students and the community
  • To visually represent important scientific concepts
  • To enhance the artistic appeal of the surroundings
  • To encourage creativity and teamwork
  1. Theme and Design 

The wall painting was based on the theme “Understanding Science With Colors”.

Key elements included:

  • The solar system and space exploration
  • Global Warming and Biosphere.
  • Nuclear Power Plant .
  • Generic Engineering.

Bright colors and clear illustrations were used to make the artwork attractive and easy to understand.

  1. Materials Used 
  • Acrylic and wall paints
  • Brushes of different sizes
  • Chalk and pencils for sketching
  • Measuring tape and masking tape
  • Protective sheets and water containers
  1. Procedure 
  1. election and cleaning of the wall surface
  2. Sketching the design layout using chalk
  3. Approval of the design by supervisors/teachers
  4. Filling colors carefully section by section
  5. Adding outlines and finishing details
  6. Final inspection and touch-ups. 
  1. Presentation 

After preparing the walls ,the students shared their views related to their topics and also answered the judges questions.

The competition involved:

  • Number of  Students  (54)
  • Different Department Teachers for  guidance and supervision
  • Volunteers/community members (20)
  1. Duration

The wall painting was completed over 2 to 3 days days,

  1. Result

The  Life science department  secured the  1st position.

The  Management  department  secured the    2nd position.

The  Computer science department   secured the   3rd position.

  1. Award Distribution

Honorable Chairperson of IIMT College Engineer Pankaj Mahalwar Sir and the Principal of IIMT College Prof. Shambhu K.N.Singh Rawat Sir boosted the students morale by distributing awards .On this occasion ,IGNOUCoordinator Dr.Ajay Vardhan provided innovative information on the Scinceand provided proper guidance to the students.”

  1. Conclusion

The science wall painting competition successfully combined art and education. It not only beautified the space but also served as an engaging way to communicate scientific ideas. Such initiatives should be encouraged to promote learning beyond textbooks.
